  • 4/28 10:03 am - Nice intro and great b-roll. Nice work with the interviews and various information, great data. Could use some narrative structure between some of the interviews, and definitely could use a sign-off that relates to the dogs, but overall great work!
  • 3/28 8:59 pm - Many clips do not have any natural audio. Need to include the natural audio with your news package. Cute story.

Positives: Good use of nats with the dog barking Nice using a variety of video I like how you covered sots with video. You can never see enough cute dogs

Improvements: Make sure to sound confident and interested in your story, no matter the topic. You can read your track a little faster. That will help keep the story moving. This is really long for the topic. Go back and trim it to about 1:20. Shorten the sound if you can.

Positives: - Great nat pop of the dog barking at the window! That was an awesome moment. - You did a really nice job in telling this story. It flows together well. You picked good soundbites that brought emotion to the story and used your track to weave facts into the story. This is well done!

Improvements: - As great as the nat pop of the dog barking was, I want more! Think about dogs. They are noisy between barks, running, breathing, petting them, etc. Having that sound in your story helps it flow even more. It makes the viewer feel like they're there. That's the sign of a good story. - I know dogs are tough to film for b-roll. Overall, you did well with this. But try to sequence in some different cutaway shots for freedom of editing. This is where closeups come in. Get closeups of the owner looking at their dog, holding a leash, closeup on a toy, the dog's collar and name plate, etc. This gives you more editing freedom.

Positives: -solid delivery by the reporter. I liked how conversational she was, while still providing facts. Information and facts given really added value to the piece. -great to see the images matched the reporter’s track. It adds great value to visual Storytelling.

Improvements: - Would’ve liked to hear More Natural sound in between tracks. Especially at the beginning to start the piece. --would have been great to see the reporter. Perhaps add a stand-up at the end of the piece to add an important face to the piece and show presence.
