Positives: Great work capturing the style of a Hallmark movie. Looks and feels very much like one. Concept is fun and inventive and I would love to see a short film that played out the concept to its fullest.

Improvements: The edit on this needs to be tightened up. You have the framework there but the timing is slow. You need to quicken the punchlines especially. For example, on the "office work" bit, the whole thing needed to be quicker. He hits the printer says "Paper jam" and then immediately starts pulling out the lights. The way it is now is too slow and the audience loses interest too quickly. Don't be afraid to use some jump cuts with sound design hits to chop up long scenes in the trailer.

Positives: "The Elf Who Went to Algebra" is filled with fun visual gags, and great color design to effectively display the contrast between the protagonist's office gig and high school.

Improvements: Some of the comedic beats could be trimmed down slightly to land the jokes even more effectively. The voiceover sounds a bit "tin-like" and could use more bass in the recording/mixing.

Positives: The story was very creative! I really enjoyed how it's completely different from anything that I've seen thus far. A lot of students believe you have to do some type of thriller in order to engage the audience - where as many high school students would watch your movie on any random night! The personality of the movie was cheeky but also brought in elements so many students can relate to like balancing school, crushes and work. You just accomplished it in a more fun way!

Improvements: Changing your camera angles within the same scene will help the audience stay in engaged. You can switch up the perspective too by going up high or low to the ground.
