  • 4/7 5:38 pm - Great shot variety, good audio, good pacing, music levels were good and did not distract. Nice job!

Positives: Good topic. Well written script.

Improvements: Narrator hard to understand at points. Too fast and a bit mumbled.

Judge 2

Positives: The story narrative worked well by by helping the viewer identify with another person, especially a child. The sound and cinematography were excellent, especially framing for the graphics.

Improvements: Backgrounds could have been improved, especially the wall between the two boys. It seemed this shot was hurried and appears in contrast to all the other shots with backgrounds and shallow DOF.

Judge 3

Positives: The story is clear and to the point and was interesting to the viewer. The different camera angles were unique and gave off a "Wes Anderson" vibe. The use of text on screen added to the overall message and worked well.

Improvements: Although the voice-over was strong, there could have been more emotion in the delivery and the music bed could have been louder. It was clear that the whole piece was shot against the same wall and I would suggest moving to different locations to enhance the video and story.
