  • 4/27 9:34 am - Keepers: The introduction that sets up the story was well done with the game footage and voice over, as well as the archival broll. The interviews tell the story reasonably well and the broll offers some visual enhancement to the story. Improvements: The out of sync audio doesn't bother me because this was probably filmed via zoom or google meet and that's going to happen. However, the framing of the interviews needed to be much better and more varied. Interview subjects should be looking off camera, shots should follow the rule of thirds and locations should vary. Get the camera up so it's eye level with your interview subjects. These are very small details but together they add so much more production value to your story. I would have liked to have seen more broll with nat audio. Coaches coaching, players off the ice, wrapping sticks, looking thoughtful, etc. I think your story needed to build a bit. The story wasn't finished because the season wasn't over, but build up the stakes to that final battle with GBS. You grow as a team/family, but what do you have at stake vs. GBS after all your team has been through during COVID? That's the question you want to answer and the stakes you want to build to end the piece strong.
  • 4/15 1:38 pm - Well told story of how the state shutdown affected the GBN hockey team and how they bounced back after they were allowed to play again. Interviews were interesting but all shot in the same place and some the audio didn't match up and were slightly off.
  • 3/10 3:24 pm - Interesting story about the hockey team. At certain points of the video the audio seems to be off a little bit. Be careful where you put the microphone as well. I would have rather not seen a wire hanging down the middle of the interviewers. It was a good amount of b-roll but definitely could have had much more then was in the film.
