Filmed and edited on an iPad. Head Football coach Joe Sanchez has found a unique way to motivate his family during the quarantine.
Positives: The idea of coaching the family through quarantine worked well - funny concept. Overall the edit felt cohesive and clear
Improvements: The first vignette at the white board has a very harsh cut - it ends too abruptly. You could have gone further with the idea to really hit the comedy - Dad rearranging dinner plates like a football field diagram, etc, tossing the dish soap like a football, spiking the garbage into the garbage can and doing a touchdown dance.....
Positives: I love the idea of making the best of the quarantine and the father character applying his coach approach to his family in lockdown. There are some really great camera angles in here that capture a lot of the family's surroundings. I thought I was relatively productive in quarantine, but I'm a loser by comparison!
Improvements: I think in order to create a little tension, it might have been interesting to see a member or two of the family rebel against the Coach's system. These are nitpicks, but the father is cut off when he says "so here we go". I'm not sure if that was intentional. Also, the dialogue volume is a little inconsistent throughout. I know from personal experience that this is really tricky though. This was a lot of fun to watch and I'm sure it was a ton of fun to make. Great work!
Positives: Very funny premise--the football coach was the perfect choice for the lead character
Improvements: Sound editing was jumpy and levels changed too often, detracting from the story...some of the video editing was a little jumpy but overall pretty good. A little polish and post-production can fix all of this.
