• 4/29 1:29 pm - Unfortunately DQ'd for time. However, great showcase of Mason’s story. Obviously a heartbreaking story but the ending was great to see how the family worked from the tragedy. Nice use of background music and b-roll. As others have said, this would be a great documentary. I applaud your effort to tell the story of such a sensitive topic, I hope everyone involved has a chance to see this.
• 3/28 8:54 pm - Story was over the maximum time limit, which is 2 minutes for this category. The audio cut after Collin said “DIPG” was a bit harsh. Work on smoothing out your audio transitions so they aren’t so harsh. Allow some “breathing time” between sound bytes and VOs. There should be a natural pause between them and that wasn’t always there. Work on the technical aspects of this story - the transitions from video to still image and vice versa, the audio transitions, etc. Powerful story. This would have been a good one to have developed into a Documentary where you have the time to fully tell the story.
