• 4/29 4:34 pm - Pros - Location was chalk full of cinematic imagery and you did a good job presenting that variety. Lots of different locations were covered from interesting angles. The plane wings bookending the piece was appreciated. Cons - The technical execution of the shots left room for improvement. Many of the shots appear to be handheld and that choice takes away from the shot rather than adding to the message being conveyed. The entire reel was day exterior and did not demonstrate a control of light in any evident way. Exposure was inconsistent (use your meter) and focus drifted at times that made the camera controls look like they were on auto.
• 4/6 1:07 pm - Beautiful place Hawaii, and you were able to find a variety of angles and perspectives, but many of the shots looked to be in autofocus or auto exposure. This category is focused on the use of light and we didn't get a lot of great examples of how you adapted or showcased the work in-camera or in post. Next time push past the establishing shots and move closer to the action and find unique vantage points to share with your audience.
