• 4/22 6:37 am - I like the variety of shots, and keeping them moving is an effective way to add energy and interest. The way you have the graphics "move" is also effective in this way. It might help to have a bit more variety in the music, again to create energy and add variety.

Judge 1

Positives: It was an excellent edited video of the various good things that happen within a "trash" year. The messaging with the slides and the varied events was very strong from the beginning to the end.

Improvements: Since it was mentioned in the early part of the video being a "trash" year, you may want to have a change either in tone of music or a visual to transition when it happened. It would give even more strength to the final message. May way to slow down some of the photos so they can be seen, it felt it was too quick.

Positives: wide variety of activities shown use of text on black screen was eye catching

Improvements: use of still images and Burns effects became repetitive fell a bit morose with black background - like a memory video

Positives: The overall message of your project is great. Your project is timely, passionate, and hopeful. The graphics and images support your message. The editing is timed to perfectly match the beats of the music. The animation of text and images works extremely well. Excellent work!

Improvements: This is a little knit-picky as I am struggling to find something that could be improved. It looks like some of your images were scaled up too much so the image quality degraded. I'm not sure what editing software you used, but there is an effect called unsharp mask that can help clean that up a little. Make sure that the framing of your images don't reveal the black background. Look at 0:36 and 0:40.
