• 3/11 4:47 pm - What a fun collection of clips, with a lot of different actitvities and people. At times your music bed fights the music in the clip. Some of the clips could be a bit shorter to pick up the pace, and it seems to end abruptly. Maybe give more information about how to join.

Judge 1

Positives: This was a well told story condensed in a short time. It had a beginning, middle and an end. The video captured all the essence of color guard, the practice, performing and fun. It showed the energy to participate and it was felt in the video.

Improvements: Wasn't sure if the wording "To senior fair wells" was meant to be spelled that way. Caught my eye and seemed incorrect. Would have liked more information via slides or chyrons on the program.

Judge 2

Positives: shows involvement in a wide range of activities shows off the fun that you can have on colorguard

Improvements: I would edit out the "before" - doesnt' represent where you are now title edits are standard and uninteresting

Judge 3

Positives: The overall spirit of your project is very effective. The opening few shots work well to bring your audience into your project.

Improvements: Try to find a few more shots. For example, the shot that is on at 0:30 runs too long. Can you find one or two. Try to hold the camera as steady as possible when shooting hand-held. You will still get the feeling you are after. But it will be a more effectine. 0:08 - The outgoing shot pops off at the end of the dissolve. In a case like this fade out the background shot as the incoming shot fades in. When you complte an edit, walk away from your project for a day. Then look at it for unwanted effects, frames, etc. The iPhone screen is on for a few frames at 1:06.
