  • 4/29 8:54 am - Pros - Very nice composition throughout. The contrast in sunny day exterior was strong, especially :17, :22, and :58. Bowling alley sequence was nice with mixture of regular and slow motion. Overall movement was strong; some shake or jitter here and there, but nothing too distracting or that took away from the shot. Ability to convey emotion within a shot is strong and a difficult skill to master. Cons - Not a ton or variety. Mostly exterior shots and virtually all shots in an uncontrolled lighting environment; would have liked to see lighting skills included. Exposure and contrast were both inconsistent; bowling alley highlights (:43) are over exposed and everything at the beach (except :33) is underexposed, creating muddy contrast in your subjects. The drone footage doesn't add much beyond the opening and closing shots for establishing purposes; how can you use your drone to capture footage in a way that separates you from your fellow videographers?
  • 4/6 12:56 pm - Love the bowling shots- a challenging place and space to capture quality light, movement, and action- would love to have seen more places like that to showcase your ability in this very competitive category. Drone shots are cool, but they don't demonstrate how you use light to visually construct shots that make the audience connect with your story.
