  • 4/29 6:00 pm - I loved your use of the dogs in the commercial and how it connected to your messaging/slogan. You had some nice footage, though at the beginning some of it felt slightly over-exposed. I thought this was heartfelt and could connect with your audience.
  • 2/25 12:04 pm - The pacing at the beginning of the video threw me off because about 10 seconds in the pace slows down tremendously but the music picks up. The Drone cinematography needs a little work as well. It's not as smooth as I'd like to see it and I'm not a huge fan of speeding up that footage doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. I don't really understand the appeal of the commercial although it's shot well.

Positives: I thought the shots, angles and movement were spot on for a car commercial. They had a great emotional pull. Editing drove the story, well done!

Improvements: The story is very good, I felt there was a beat missing in the transition from girl driving the truck to adult male driving the mini coop. Lighting is a challenge in marketing a car. The car was clean and shiny but the lighting was inconsistent. Color correction might help even out these issues.

Positives: Interesting idea to use a small dog in a spot about a small car Like the drone shots

Improvements: The connection between the car size and dog size needs more work and a better context for it to really pay off. Good things come in small packages? Not sure you needed to show larger vehicles/dogs in the spot. Might work better with a Cooper filled with several small dogs. The framing of the shot of someone getting into the car is poor - you should reframe to not cut off the dog's head.

Positives: The camera work is nice here, especially the drone footage, and the music editing works well alongside it to change the mood once the mini is revealed. Some good edits on the dog too, as I'm sure it was hard to get exactly the performance you wanted.

Improvements: I had to watch twice to get the story, as I was confused about how many dogs there were the first time. All of the opening shots show one dog so the second dog threw me the first time. I think there is a duplicated frame at the heads of one of your drone shots in the second half.
