The Fall Fest story is interesting, but could've been told a little quicker as it drags. Also, maybe hearing from club members or other students, or someone who attended? The app story is interesting, but a little hard to follow when they got techy.

Positives: The packages were creative and moved I liked the stories you covered - they all had an impact on students.

Improvements: During the car parade piece it would've been great to hear nats of people cheering/playing music/etc It would've been great to see some reporter stand ups during the stories

Positives: -I absolutely love this idea of feature focused news broadcast keeping positive vibes being reported rather than the traditional doom-and-gloom broadcasts. Joshua is a very professional host and did a great job leading into each package and the over all aesthetic was fun and laid back more like what you would see from online multimedia publications. I wish more news programs had shows like this! -Packages are put together extremely well. In the festival one, you did a good job writing to your video. You lined up b-roll to overlap Soundbites that talked exactly about what you saw on screen. And there was some artistic angles and movements on the camera person's part.

Improvements: -There were 2 moments that made me dock a little bit of score from production value. One of the interviews was heavily out of focus and the audio levels jumped around in the first story. Otherwise consistent. Small things but they become what I remember most. -The vibe of this broadcast is relaxed and fun. I think moving the host to a more chill/relaxed location would come across better than the windy outdoors in front of a tree. Doesn't need to be in studio but something giving off a different mood than an outdoor static look-live standup. Don't be afraid to be creative with the host segments to hold interest!

Positives: -Loved the opening sequence -Good adaptation to COVID standards by having "field" anchoring -Really professional looking package first, great interview framing, good use of music - Story choice for packages was great. I think that stood out the most to me. -wish there was more than packages -good shot mix -improve interview framing in last package, not in center -great energy from anchor

Improvements: -Given time and staff constraints, this may not have been possible, but I would love to see more than just packages in your newscast! It can really go several levels up by adding little stories the anchor reads that include relevant school or town info that is important that month (or at the time of air) -For reporter packages, always be mindful of interview framing. Follow those rule of thirds and mix up which side we're seeing those interview shots on!
