Offical movie trailer about the horror of being followed by a stalker coming out this Halloween. Written permission to use music by De Wolfe Music
Positives: You have a creative and stylized approach to the editing here. I think the disjointed editing and sound design hits work well. The footage and camera work looks good generally, and you do a good job of controlling the lighting overall
Improvements: The costume overall for the stalker doesn't work. When I first saw him in the hoodie with "Shake Junt" I thought it was taking a comedic twist. Then also seeing the face mask he is wearing at the end, it just simply doesn't look menacing. The pacing of the trailer needs work. It needs to be quicker and more intense. Watch some of your favorite thriller trailers and see how they use sound design especially to work with the pacing and create a great sense of tension.
Positives: "Stalker" uses desaturated and high-contrast color grading to effectively convey suspense. The "digital" music cue that comes in 3/4 of the way in works well in tandem with the rhythmic editorial style.
Improvements: The sound recording/mix on the protagonist's voice can be significantly raised to help with audibility. It would also be interesting to see the slow-shutter shots recorded at a high frame rate instead, to give it a smoother, more "produced" look.
Positives: The tight camera shot specifically with the mirror showing the guy is dicretly behind her really added to the move. Overall the shots really brought the viewer in and made you want to scream at her "he's right behind you." The quick fades to black reset the scene for every shot and are great for transitions. The quick editing and music matching up with certain shots perfectly let the viewer effortlessly watch the video. Good job!
Improvements: This was shot mostly at the same level - maybe think about changing up on the ground shots, or over the head.
