Positives: Great confidence in reporter track Good use of quick sots with none feeling too long. I loved how you showed what you were talking about as the story went on

Improvements: For Natalie's interview at :21, there was nothing to see behind her. I would have tightened up the shot, since we didn't need to see the plain wall. Not sure what your assignment was, but this piece was very long for the topic. You could tighten this up to 1:15 A way to tighten this up, don't pause so long between sentences. You take a full breath at the end of every sentence.

Positives: - Great job telling the story. I like that you had so many different interviews, which provided a lot of varying perspective. Your reporter track is pretty strong too. - I like that you got creative in visually telling this story. Nice use of the red rectangles to differentiate between the school days. Little things like that go a long way.

Improvements: - This story needed some natural sound. You have so many great shots of teachers working, students learning, etc. Let your viewer hear this! It makes them feel like they’re there, which is the sign of a great story. Even pausing your track to let the sound of someone typing play full is a great way to bring more flow into your story. - A lot of your shots are very similar. I think you would’ve benefitted from some better sequencing. Shoot your close up shots even tighter, wide shots wider and really paint the entire picture as best you can.

Positives: -great delivery by the reporter. Sounded natural and conversational. That is key! -creative shots. Liked seeing a variety of video elements to tell the story.

Improvements: - lighting could be improved on interview subjects in indoor settings. If no lighting equipment available, try to set up subject facing a window to make use of natural lighting. -interview with brenna Palmer out of focus. Try not to to rely on auto focus, but do it manually. Best way to have a subject in focus is to zoom in on their face (nose or lips), focus, then zoom out.
