• 4/29 2:23 pm - You had some nice shots and composition going, especially the shots of the interior of the car. The shots n the garage, to me, were not really needed. You paid attention to the sound of your commercial, and it shows. I thought that was done well and made your presentation effective. This was filmed nicely and was very sleek in presentation. I also think if you left it at a 30 second commercial it would have been more effective.
• 2/25 11:18 am - A very well produced commercial. Most of the shots look professional. I love the use of sound effects as well as the music for this piece. Car commercials are some of the most beautiful cinematic looking Productions that you can see. This one fits right in. I would change the setting of the first shot to not be a cluttered garage because everything else about this looks so clean and sharp. The first shot inside the interior of the car is also a little under exposed. Work with the dynamic range inside of the car.

Judge 1

Positives: Based on your entry info, I think the commercial established the emotional tone and vibe you are going for. Since this is a commercial I would note that it may not have been enough narrative to sell the car. You made an excellent effort on the sound recording, and you showed creativity and though in your camera work which emphasized the car and its power.

Improvements: I would have liked to see a bit more narrative. You did not loose points for this but I think the garage location did not match the cars ascetic. You could have easily started with the car already driving down the road. Or you could have set dressed and lit the garage to elevate the car.

Judge 2

Positives: Nice music track Really like the effect on the driver as he views the car

Improvements: There's nothing in this edit that distinguishes this car from any other sports car. That's an absolute must in advertising. The effect on the driver might have worked nicely on the backgrounds in the driving scenes - ie, you only sense the road and the car when you drive a mustang

Positives: Music choice is nice and I like the editing of the guy circling the car in the open, with the dissolves. Tachometer CU is great - would have been nice to see a few more CUs in the driving section, like the driver's eyes, or other gauges, shifting, etc.

Improvements: Though you shot a nice variety of footage, the outdoor driving footage feels flat and needs to have more contrast. The car is blending in with its surroundings and needs to pop out from the footage with some mattes or "windows" to bring it forward. Garage shot also feels cluttered and needs a vignette to focus on the car.
