  • 4/28 4:16 pm - Loved the variety of the shots. Loved the composition. Loved the costume choices. 0:15, 0:31, 0:35, 0:58, 1:23-1:27 were some of my favorites. Really nice job.

One of the strongest music videos submitted this year. One suggestion would be to have stronger beats in the song to make your edits to because your song covers beats are not as pronounced as the original. But that is just me being picky. Overall, great job.

Positives: The use of color and black and white is compelling. The compositing is well done.

Improvements: The protagonist is solid in terms of performance but could loosen up a bit. A bit more light is need in scenes like the one at :12.

Positives: I really loved that you only had a 1:30 song. It allowed you to have a ton of visual variety in your locations and setups. The editing was fantastic, and the compositing was super-clean and effective. Really nice performance by the lead. I loved when the actor starting lip synching the backing vocals--I could have used more of that.

Improvements: For as short as the song was, it felt repetitive somehow. I did like the climax it built to. But I was ready for it to end at 1:30, and that shouldn't be the case if you've got me hooked with a story or something that I want to see keep going.

Positives: It was short! the perfect length actually. The visuals were extremely interesting but it started feeling a bit overdone right after the minute mark. But then it ended! Not enough people appreciate when to end something effectively. The singer was great. Tons of emotional subtext. Mixing medias and color schemes worked well too.

Improvements: not much. this video was rad. Maybe give me more of a story? But as far as a visual video is concerned, this is what to shoot for.
