The First Episode of the Mid Day Show.
Positives: -Great lighting -professional looking set -solid rapport between hosts
Improvements: -audio could use some work, ambient noise made the hosts hard to hear -in order to nail the parody, try to stay in character the whole time
Positives: 1. Great introduction. Hosts are dynamic and have good chemistry. 2. I liked the two camera setup for the cooking segment.
Improvements: 1. Lighting is very harsh with the green screen. 2. I understand this is supposed to be comedic and tongue in cheek but the hosts seem unrehearsed when they giggle and fidget and slump on set.
Positives: 1. Both hosts are very well spoken, have great camera presence, and work well off of each other. 2. The green screen is very nice and adds a unique element to your set.
Improvements: 1. There’s a lot of long pauses and small talk. Rather It came off as a comedy sketch than an actual variety show or talk show. I would suggest making sure to practice the variety show segments to avoid the long pauses as they could potentially draw away your viewers. 2. I’d suggest using lavs or a rode mic to get clear audio and to avoid background noise. When you use the lav or rode make sure it’s coming from the mic and not the internal mic that is in the camera. You can easily test the mic by using headphones that are plugged in the actual camera and tapping the mic to see if it’s working. Make sure to watch audio levels as well.
