- 4/26 6:17 pm - Good graphics and use of statistics. Very good audio. The host of the talk show was very knowledgeable and well prepared.
- 4/22 7:35 am - First shot is out of focus for about 12 seconds. Good conversation between hosts, both are knowledgeable and have a good presence on camera. Graphics with stats are a nice addition to give a look into what each of the players they are discussing have accomplished. Microphone coming out of Chris's collar and hanging awkwardly was distracting.
Judge 1
Positives: -very professional looking backdrop and strong graphics -great rapport and delivery from hosts
Improvements: -Chris’s mic audio sounded off -Austin somewhat fidgety
Judge 2
Positives: 1. Good chemistry between the two hosts. They play off each other well and neither person dominated the conversation. 2. Graphics are great and very informational.
Improvements: 1. I would have liked to have seen some b roll along with the graphics. I'm not sure if it wasn't possible to go to the games, but even with still images you could add some movement to them so you're not completely dependent on graphics. 2. Hosts are cutting off the text in the background.
Judge 3
Positives: 1. The graphics are very well done. They look highly professional. I love the font choice and design choice. They are filled with enough information that can help quickly break down what the host are talking about while keeping the viewers engaged. 2. Both hosts are very well spoken, have great camera presence, and work well off of each other.
Improvements: 1. Chris’s audio sounds like it’s coming from an external mic rather than the lavaliere microphone. Austin sounds super clear compared to him and has his microphone on correctly. Make sure to put the lavaliere mic on the side where the host is going to be speaking into and to avoid the audio quality differences as it could be hard for the viewer to hear. This is a very common mistake but a noticeable one. 2. The green screen is keyed very well but the graphics are too big and it can be distracting. The graphics behind the hosts need to be small enough for the viewers to see. The hosts should have a high table between them to help add some set dressing. This can help add a little more realism to the production.
