4/20 2:08 pm - This product is not a reel as it is defined. What we have here is a short work of fiction. In the video there are some really nice shots and some thoughtful edits, but the overuse of what looks like warp stabilizer is very distracting at times. Continue to work on diversifying your portfolio.
3/2 4:44 pm - Pros - Nice concept for your reel. Lots of different angles and composition techniques used to tell the story. It's nice to see how you compose not just individual shots, but multiple shots that cut together into a coherent and continuous sequence. Cons - The bright sunny day gives a warm and cheery feeling to your project but causes some high contrast and over exposure issues at times as well as works against your story during the jump scene. The handheld is a good idea, in theory, but is just too shaky at times, especially when she is walking into the pool. Be carful with obstructions in your shots, like the guard MS at 1:22. Lots of good moments and diversity of shots used before the jump, but it feels like some missed opportunities to build suspense; the foot shot doesn't communicate much emotion (just where she is on the end of the board). Did you consider a POV or OTS looking down at the water or up at the guard? It would make the payoff of the jump bigger.
