7 cameras, graphics, replay, PbP and commentator, TD, student director and four camera operators
Positives: The energy of the announcers is generally very strong. That makes me want to watch more. Player graphics with headshots. Very nice. Also, credit to the director for showing the student section behind the free throw.
Improvements: I know the instinct is to whisper when the crowd gets quiet, but I encourage the announcers to keep their voices strong when free throws are being shot. Either the graphic was misspelled (MACIE) or the announcer was incorrect (MARCIE).
Positives: - LOVE that you have player graphics with headshots to use on free throws. What a phenomenal touch to add to the broadcast! - Sound was clean and talent sounded engaged and knowledgable about the team - good job!
Improvements: - Camera movement was a little jerky on the game camera, as well as on some of the free throw attempts. - A good rule of thumb for FTs - if a miss will result in live play, cover it from your game camera (it can be zoomed in a little bit) so you're not caught in a weird situation on your under-basket handheld where you can't see what's going on. - One more note, looks like the backboard cameras are mirroring their images (the text is all backwards).
Positives: Good use of lower third to identify the free throw shooter. Good energy by the announcers. Good interaction between the two of them.
Improvements: Lower third of the free throw shooter was on the screen too long. Yes, you want to identify her when she comes to the line, but as soon as she shoots, you need to lose it. Format of the lower thirds is off - for WA, the jersey number is on the right, but for Ridgewood, it's on the left. I know you have no pictures for the visiting team, but the layout of the lower third needs to be consistent for all teams/players, so for the visiting team, that jersey number should be on the right.
