Judge 1

Positives: - You did a great job getting all of the necessary characters: new actors, experienced actors, the director, etc. That shows you did a great job telling all perspectives, which is good reporting! - The writing is strong. You have a clear beginning, middle and end. Nice job!

Improvements: - This is a tough one to edit, and I think you ran into some problems like jump cuts, because you didn't have enough video. The easy solution here is to shoot a variety of shots. You have a lot of wide and medium shots. You need closeups to be able to transition from one thing to the next. - This is a show, so show us some of it! We needed to hear more of the songs, the dialogue, the sounds of running/dancing/etc. Using this will help set the stage for your story.

Positives: Lots of great broll to work with from the stage to the classroom I like how you used broll to cover longer sound to allow the interviews to really tell the story It was great how you got a variety of new and veteran actors to describe their experiences

Improvements: If this is a musical, why didn't we hear anyone sing? You could have started the pkg with a nat pop and even incorporated some nats full throughout the piece You could have also paused to hear some of the play. Any nat sound is great

Positives: -diverse use of broll to tell the story - written and narrated well

Improvements: -would’ve liked to hear natural sound from the musical in between tracks .. even under the reporter track. The silent video makes you wonder why you can’t hear what they’re singing -would’ve liked to see a reporter stand up to establish presence.
