  • 4/25 8:37 am - OUTSTANDING JOB! Opening hook visuals pull viewers in, and the pacing keeps the viewers engaged throughout. Special effects with the tornado & lighting are impressive and make your message even stronger. Great job cutting between the studio footage and the court, and including different-sized small groups to give everyone some feature time. Excellent closing, integrating the ball coming at the camera and the zoom out from the team shot.
  • 4/8 12:53 pm - Excellent editing; impressive use of various different camera angles; way to really sell the impact of the storm with the lightning effect
  • 3/7 9:11 am - I LOVED every part of this! I was just at a Loyola University Mens' Volleyball game and this video was close to the professional grade that they provided at their stadium pregame when they opened. Loved the electricity going through the players and liked the posing with the stage lighting as well. It made the sport powerful and strong and was great promotion!

Positives: great editing kept in moving use of "electricity" effect kept the energy high

Improvements: got a bit repetitive with the same use of shots voice of captains and coming season would have been nice

Judge 2

Positives: The slow motion shots were very effective, especially the way you altered time during the course of a shot. There was some very dynamic editing, very quick cuts that supported the intensity of the action. I'm impressed that you used a fog machine, great effect. Impressive camera work.

Improvements: I'm not sure what you used to edit your project. Some the shots would have benefitted from color correction. You should be able to get more vibrance and contrast out of the colors. This would be particularly helpful with some of your effects shots.

Positives: The behind-the-scenes shots and the lighting are well done and make your video stronger. Great job matching the music to your edits. The edits help make your video. I like the lightning effect and the sound with you. Great job overall.

Improvements: When shooting this try not to use an empty gym. It does not bring the energy that you are trying to convey. If you have clips from last year, use those they are more impactful. Try to get closer to the player spiking the ball or capture that spike through your lens.
