Electric hype video showcasing 2022 South Elgin varsity boys v-ball team. Directed, edited, produced by Evan DeGuzman. Music licensed by Universal Production Music (Killertracks).
Positives: great editing kept in moving use of "electricity" effect kept the energy high
Improvements: got a bit repetitive with the same use of shots voice of captains and coming season would have been nice
Positives: The slow motion shots were very effective, especially the way you altered time during the course of a shot. There was some very dynamic editing, very quick cuts that supported the intensity of the action. I'm impressed that you used a fog machine, great effect. Impressive camera work.
Improvements: I'm not sure what you used to edit your project. Some the shots would have benefitted from color correction. You should be able to get more vibrance and contrast out of the colors. This would be particularly helpful with some of your effects shots.
Positives: The behind-the-scenes shots and the lighting are well done and make your video stronger. Great job matching the music to your edits. The edits help make your video. I like the lightning effect and the sound with you. Great job overall.
Improvements: When shooting this try not to use an empty gym. It does not bring the energy that you are trying to convey. If you have clips from last year, use those they are more impactful. Try to get closer to the player spiking the ball or capture that spike through your lens.
