  • 4/28 10:52 pm - Consider an intro starting before your anchor. Think about placing light on anchor in a way you don't get that shadow to the right of the person speaking. Maybe use a 2nd light on the other side. Transition to fall play segment is confusing..."Let's hear a little more about that." You never gave it intro so nothing was said about it to begin with, you know? Same for transition to wrestling stories. Both of these segments are good ideas...just need to develop some depth to them and add some energy in your deliveries. A lot of the audio is only coming out of the left channel. Make sure to "FILL" both channels with audio. Teacher traveling trophy reporter needs to speak up a bit. Almost a whisper into the microphone. Smoother with your zoom ins and outs. Overall, anchor has a nice energy in their delivery. Tighten up your editing a bit, continue to strengthen your use of sound throughout and you will improve quickly. Good work!
  • 4/20 1:41 pm - Music would be a good thing to have- especially at the start when you go to a graphic and we hear dead silence. No opening to the show? Your anchor sends it to the first segment awkwardly- not sure what she's sending it to. Audio levels need to be consistent from the anchor to the actual segments. Watch the hard light on your anchor- casts a very distinct shadow- use angles to avoid that shadow. Consider using some graphics while your anchor talks- put her in the rule of thirds and then use upper thirds to let us see what you are talking about. Need some nameplates on the interviews for the thankful piece. Camera work is a bit off on Thanksgiving piece- lots of headroom on all the shots. Music- Would work well in this show. Cosmo reporter seems to be whispering?? Hard to hear him. No interviews? Overall, you have some good segment ideas, but they need to be packaged together in a more professional manner by adding some technical aspects to the show.
  • 4/7 10:07 am - “Let’s hear a little bit more about that…” About what? She never said anything before this. Anchor audio is low and only coming out of the left speaker. Anchor has a lot of good energy and good delivery, but needs to stand still at the end of talking. A number of times she drops the mic and/or starts to walk off. Wrestling segment - Add some excitement to your voice. It may seem kind of weird, but you sound so bored when you recorded your part. The thankful segment - Zoom in more so there is not so much dead space around. Also, the first interview was in a great place (her office) but the rest were pretty much against the hallway walls. Have something else going on in the background, even if it is just a classroom. Shhhh….it sounds like the traveling trophy is supposed to be a secret. The reporter is whispering and it is hard to hear what he was saying. It would have been great to hear some audio from the b-roll.
