  • 4/20 1:25 pm - it had a decent mix of tight and wide shots; I like seeing the crowd participate with this piece – I didn’t think the cuts were that intentional, but it kept me interested with the amount of switching that was happening.

Positives: -nice job showing the audience for reaction shots, variety was great -great job incorporating wide shots to show the light display.

Improvements: -I think :6-:19 shot was up too long. I can't really see anyone playing, not a lot of action. -Possibly start off with establishing shot to show the entire orchestra and set the scene.

Judge 2

Positives: Cameras were balanced decently and were able to see everything. Use of dissolves worked well for the pacing of the music.

Improvements: It appeared when the lights changed the wide-shot camera adjusted as it may have been in an auto setting. A lot of the shots were taking for way to long especially sitting on the wide-shot. The few closeup shots of band members were either shooting backs of heads or not a clear subject focus as well as taking some of the audience shots with the choir members.

Judge 3

Positives: - Good job having cameras positioned and ready to cover a massive number of performers that spilled well past the stage! - Audio was mixed cleanly and sounded great.

Improvements: - Would like to see more tight shots. You had several creative angles (the sheet music) that were interesting, but remember that most people who are watching probably want to see their friends/family members. Focus on the people! - The pace was a little slow for as many performers as you had - I think a few quicker cuts and a few more shots would have helped.
