Entry Description

A mini documentary about my brother who has played guitar since he was younger. He's fallen out of the habit of playing, but his love for it is still there.

The use of your brother's playing for the music was a great choice and you did really well moving from song to song. You brother and I have the same taste in music. I knew every lick he was playing! A lot of Guns N Roses and the Yellow Ledbetter guitar solo outro was nice! IMPROVEMENTS: A simple way to beef up this documentary a bit more and to give it and extra layer of story and visuals would be to mic up your brother and have him give you a tour of his guitars. Have him hold up each one and talk about it. Show him re-stringing one, caring for one, etc. It would have been great to have captured some dialogue in some reality footage. Would it be possible to have also interviewed your dad? Perhaps it wasn't but it would have offered another layer of perspective about your brother's playing and the connection is holds over father/son. Do what you can to improve the interview background. The posters were nice, but put some guitars in the background or more colorful nuances falling out of focus. Nice work and keep improving!
