  • 4/29 8:35 am - You have a friendly voice. I like how you get into the story fast and we start hearing from the voices in the piece. It could use some more nat sound. The visuals do a nice job backing up the story. I also like that you used voice transitions between each part. Nice job on the rule of 3rds. You have a very good foundation on how to make a package. This is very professional and really stands out.

Positives: - I like how you were able to catch each person in their side hustle element. Great job getting that video. It really adds to this story. - The writing in this is pretty strong. I like how you transitioned, got good interviews and tied it all together.

Improvements: - While you did a good job in getting video of the side hustles, I was hoping for more of a variety of shots and natural sound. Let's use the car detail as an example. I know the spray bottles make noise, as do the power washers. Use that! It helps the viewer understand, and it also helps your story flow. But on top of that, get a variety of shots: close up of the bottle, close up of pulling the bottle trigger, medium shot of him, wide shot of the whole thing, close up of the spray hitting the car, etc. This will make your story much better overall.

Positives: I like how you used broll to cover the longer sots This is a great topic. It's timely and is another way to explain real life during the pandemic. Great job using social media posts as broll. We don't always have the video we need, so this was a creative way to tell your story. This piece was longer, but it didn't feel long. I was engaged the whole time. I liked how you find three people doing side hustles, but each was very unique. This is a great pkg to save for a reel.

Improvements: You don't always have to do a wide shot interview. At :20, the background on Jacob's interview has nothing to do with his side hustle. This framing would make sense if he did landscaping. Not sure if you had the option to set him up in front of a car or in a garage. Make sure to sound confident and bold when tracking. Be on the same energy level as your interviews.
