  • 4/27 9:25 am - Great Story told with excellent pacing. The blend of practice footage with sideline & performance clip was done very well. Great job utilizing a variety of camera angle and camera movement. Closing needs a little work-- perhaps fade the video to black and reveal the social media tag, rather than fading them both out at the same time. Overall GREAT piece!!!

  • 3/7 2:53 pm - I LOVED THIS! I love how you gave us the aerial view of the poms - which is so important to show symmetry in their routine and then showed us ground level as well. It was also nice to see close ups of the students on the team. Very nice film work and production!
Judge 1

Positives: Multiple camera angles and views allowed the viewer to see the pom routine from various vantage points Enjoyed the inclusion of other halftime elements - i.e. - band, flags, etc..

Improvements: there was no story - could have been highlighted with more narrative more voiceover to accentuate the action happening

Judge 2

Positives: Very impressive work. The pacing of the edit was excellent. The camera work show a lot of care. Appropriate shots were used. There was a good variety of shots as well. The composition of each shot was great. I was especially impressed with the precision of the long shot of the Poms. You captured the energy and excitement of what the Poms bring to RB. Great work overall!

Improvements: I'm not sure what I can add that will help make this a better project. It looks like you went to extreme measures to cover most of the aesthetic and technical aspects of a great project.

Judge 3

Positives: Strong variety of shots and movement in this piece. I like the matching of the sound to the performance, I am not sure if this is a song they used this year or not, but it is strong. Good job with the drone work.

Improvements: I wish there were more gameday stuff and crowd reactions to them. Try to get even closer shots to see the smiles and the emotions.
