  • 4/26 8:46 am - Great story that everyone can relate to. The writing in the voiceover is solid. Bookending the intro & outro work great! Lots of variety of locations are used, and many different students are featured, which kids love! Good audio balance and incorporation of the audio from the clips, which helps to tell the story of each different act, without specifically showcasing any of them. Great job!
  • 4/8 1:00 pm - Great editing- fading out from the logo to the video; I also loved how the voiceover told a story & really set the tone for the whole video
  • 3/7 1:36 pm - What a wonderful and heartfelt dialogue to hear in the background of your school promotion of Emerge. It was very true of how young people feel during these difficult times. This was beautifully done and I really like your graphic for Emerge as well.

Positives: Narrative script was very strong multiple rehearsals capttured the energy of the coming show

Improvements: Would have been interesting to hear from some of the performers in their own voices Could have built the drama through various editing strategies to the final production

Positives: The lighting adds much to the look and feel of your project. The contrast levels and colors work great. The stage lighting contrasts nicely with the rehearsal lighting. Your editing and shot selection were very effective. The project was paced will and visually interesting.

Improvements: Try to use a tripod for all shots on a project like this. The handheld footage took away for the overall feel of your project. Also, if you are editing with After Effects or Adobe Premiere there are tools that you can use to stabilize footage. Consider extending the length of your project about 15 or 20 seconds without adding more V.O. and allow some time to hear the background audio. There are some interesting things happening that are hard to pick up.

Positives: I like the narrative in this piece and how you bring the violin into it, and then fade it down. Great job of using some audio from the show.

Improvements: Try to stabilize a couple of the shots There are some points when you could give a pause and let even more natural sound come forward.
