Sports. Blackout game. Epic.
Positives: "He told me today in the lunch room..."--Great use of a quote from talking to one of the players. Get access where you can. Well done. It's clear you all know the players. Also, beautiful lay-out when the crowd rushed the floor. I love the location of your game camera. Great look for the audience.
Improvements: I think when the announcers come back in after laying out to let the crowd storm the court, the energy could be much stronger. There was a whip-pan in the replay from the play to the crowd.
Positives: - Good job covering a fun moment in a court rush. Hope all the equipment made it out safely! - Like the enthusiasm from the announcers.
Improvements: - Remember that the game is always the most important thing. Getting cutaways of subs coming in/out of the game is a great bonus, but be careful not to miss things like free throws! - Similarly, I love the excitement that the announcers brought about a friend scoring... but don't get so caught up in it that you lose track of what's going on in the game. It looked like something happened where the visiting player got to re-shoot a free throw but we didn't reference or explain it at all. The game is the thing!
Positives: Good use of the "hero" cam after the baskets. Right off the start with this clip the energy level of the announcers matches what we're hearing on the clip. Love the "...what he told me in the lunch room..." - that shows that your announcers are doing their research on the game, on the team and bring that info to the broadcast. Great job letting the natural audio tell the story at the end before you began the recap of the game. Great clip!
Improvements: For the wide shot, have that operator remember that the score is on the bottom of the screen so that when framing the camera shot, the graphic doesn't cover up some of the action.
