  • 4/29 8:04 am - What I Loved: WOW! This was an impressive commercial and looks like a luxury brand commercial that I would see on TV! I love how your shots were timed to the beat of the music, especially in the closing reveal to your text. The water falling down on the watch was also a unique and artistic way to show that this product is water proof while still appearing luxurious. Areas of Growth: I would have loved to have read a tagline or slogan at the end of this commercial for the product. This isn't a super well known bran to your average consumer- this could be a great opportunity to tell me something about this watch.

Positives: Nicely done - very pretty, stylized spot that feels in keeping with luxury good work. Nicely paced edit and music, nice finish at the end.

Improvements: I believe you're addressing the fact that the watch is waterproof. I think that would be something to call out in the final super. Some ambient sound design with water sounds could help drive some more interest. I understand the appeal of simplicity with no voice over, but with no supers to convey any other communication, this is ultimately not very hard working as a piece of advertising.

Judge 2

Positives: Dramatic photography Good use of music

Improvements: Like many commercials of today, you don't know what is being sold until the last :02 Product graphic was too small

Judge 3

Positives: Technically speaking you a have a great looking commercial. I think the music choices, and shot shots worked well to accent and show off the features of your watch.

Improvements: The story did not work as well for me. I get you are showing me a great watch and the spot catches my attention, but when I dig a little deeper I'm not sure I know anything about the watch. A few slower shots, a voice over, or more structured narrative could have helped.
