  • 4/28 3:48 pm - Cute inclusion of some 80s references. Coloring could have been improved - felt like no correction was done - though the lighting was good. Audio adjustments felt off (the masks maybe?).
  • 4/7 1:09 pm - Fun interpretation of the song! Nice variety of shots. Nice changes in location. The composition could have been stronger using the rule of thirds. Overall nice job.
  • 2/22 9:21 am - Interesting song choice, perfect for visually telling a story. I like the 80's idea but it could be done more dramatically. The 80's were colorful and kind of in your face. Good job by the on camera performers. The editing does not match the tempo of the song. Why does the music volume change is it because of the masks? (it changes before they but them on and take them off) I would recommend using more of a variety of shots, depth of field, dramatic lighting and because it is supposed to mirror the 80's more neon color.

Positives: The 80's homages are well-detailed and amusing. The editing is solid.

Improvements: Use more medium shots and closeups. The wide shots don't do much but distance the story. The performances could be more specific to the storytelling.

Positives: The performances were fun, and I could follow the storyline of these two characters kinda sorta being transported to the 80s mindset (though not actually the 80s--see the masks). I liked the throwback editing as well.

Improvements: I think the song choice was bad. Not related to the visuals at all really (maybe except for the "look back now" and looking down the street). Some actual John Hughes homage here, maybe "Don't You Forget About Me"? Camera and lighting could have been more interesting and purposeful. Also, if you're going to have dialogue, you've got to do sound design/cleanup of this section as well.

Positives: definitely a lot of joy in the visuals. Good song choice.

Improvements: the story was disjointed and confusing. Not sure what was actually going on most of the time. Could have used some work. And the editing kept the pacing slow and hard to follow.
