- 4/27 8:45 am - This was a lot of fun to watch, the team had some great chemistry. There is some very shaky footage that, while intentional for the mockumentary style, was at times too much and loses focus on what we're trying to watch. With that said, if some of the scenes had intentional lighting, we would be able to focus more on some of the character's faces. Just watch out for shadows on faces. Try zooming in on reactions more (see Jim from The Office) to hit those humor points a bit harder. Finally, some of your edits aren't effective in moving the pace, either cutting too late or too early. All in all, this was a lot of fun, keep attempting these big pieces, they are great for learning.
- 2/24 3:21 pm - STORY: this is the classic meta story, about a group of people making a video. The mockumentary style is fine, but your execution of it falls short. CAMERA: camera is an adequate attempt at the mockumentary style. EDITING: The editing was choppy, and the piece did not flow well. LIGHTING: Lighting did not seem to be controlled; looked like you just used whatever lighting was available in each space. Some of the shots were dark. AUDIO: audio also sounded like maybe you used the built-in microphone on the camera. A lot of background hiss in quite a few of the shots / scenes.
