  • 4/28 3:21 pm - Great lighting at 0:08 and 1:05 - good use of natural light in your favor. Loved the graduation shots at the end. Nice tying the graduation shots with the lyrics of losing innocence.
  • 4/7 12:27 pm - The story confused me but I think I got it but I'm not positive. Great variety of shots. The pace worked really well with the song. It flowed well. I just thought the compositions could have been stronger. There wasn't much variety in the angles, Overall nice job!
  • 2/22 9:00 am - Great visual storytelling. Good job editing to the pace of the music video and adding a variety of shots. Camera work was excellent with movement in compositions. A couple shots appeared out of focus but that may have been intentional. Overall, great job.

Positives: Solid and effective storytelling. the editing moves the story along very well.

Improvements: Subjects during int. scenes often need more lighting. The performers need to let go and not think too much and not be aware of the camera. They can be more comfortable in from tof the camera.

Positives: I really love what you did with the story. I'm not sure I totally got what the lyrics were about, but it looked like you twisted the "She's wearing red" line to a graduation gown, which is super clever. Acting was committed as well, effective at telling your story.

Improvements: Some out of focus shots, and more attention could have been paid to lighting. There were some jump cuts, which if used purposely are great, but in continuity-edited scenes, they felt jarring. The whole piece could have used an A-performance to cut away to, even if it's just an actor/character lip-synching the song.

Positives: story was easy to follow and the visuals furthered the story effectively. Decent acting with emotional substance.

Improvements: Story could have used some work. it was easy to understand but that isn't always the best thing for a narrative. I felt like there were no real surprises that changed the way I felt about anybody. Maybe that was the point, but it kept me from fully engaging in the story.
