  • 4/29 9:19 am - What I Loved: I love how you set up this commercial with all of the students playing music on objects such as a broom, hair brush, and keyboard. Your use of black and white also helped to emphasize this theme. You seamlessly cut your shots to the beat of the music and I especially liked the quick cutting of the girl on the keyboard and the boy with the hair brush and mic. You made this music school look fun, exciting, friendly, and inviting. I also liked how you used your text to provide valuable information for your viewers on getting free lessons, age range, etc. The contact information at the end was also appreciated and I loved how the shot of the guitar faded into the logo. This commercial was engaging but informative at the same time. Areas of Growth: I loved the movement used on our text, but I would have liked to have seen a font or color scheme in it that matched the School of Rock logo a bit more. I know the logo text might be hard to read, but maybe at least matching the color might make it look more cohesive. The silver looked out of place to me. This was minor though- overall, this was an outstanding commercial!! Bravo!

Positives: Love this spot - has a great concept to it. Featuring the play instruments as a starting point for learning musicians is a great idea. Supers do a great job of selling in the actual product offering from the client. Nice job!

Improvements: I would have love to cut out to more real music at the end to illustrate that people can actually learn music with their classes. Even something off-key or incorrect would be endearing. Graphics could use a little polish, but nothing major.

Positives: Good editing, tight pacing at the beginning Nice camera work Music fit but wasn't long enough dead at the end

Improvements: odd time - coule have been either :30 or :46 and been more effective End tag had no music over it

Positives: This is very clever. I like play between imagination and actual learning. The sound was good, and the edit was well timed to the music. The entire piece was energetic and fun and I hope someone is willing to pay you to promote their music school!

Improvements: The piece as a hole could be 10-15s shorter. The B-roll was not a well composed as the well constructed shots with the broom guitar and the hairbrush mic. Give us a little less, and focus on what works bests an you'll knock it out of the park.
