- 4/27 9:50 am - This video showed so much prep work, from setting up the interview to the questions that were lined up, to the footage that was laid over the interview at the appropriate times. This was a very professional looking interview. The host’s questions showed a real ability to listen, reflect, and then move the conversation forward based on what the interviewee is saying I. Really nice work all around.
- 4/27 8:53 am - Well prepared and engaging conversation with a former all star trying to make it back to the NBA. Questions were thoughtful and entire conversation was interesting. Acting as a reporter, I don't think it's a good idea to wear the players jersey in the interview. To be taken seriously, the interviewer needs to give the perception of being impartial and wearing the player's old jersey while interviewing him loses some credibility in people's eyes. Good placement of B-Roll and well done!
- 4/16 1:22 pm - Overall, a very well conducted interview. It was evident that you not only know basketball but had done your research on Isaiah so you knew the right questions to ask. Was there a reason for no natural audio during the b-roll clips? It was a little odd to see the clips but not hear any audio at all in the background from them. Obviously I don’t know what your set-up was limited to, but found myself wishing you had a 2nd camera there so you could have gotten a tight cut-away shot of Isaiah to go to during this interview. With a shot of him, you could have added some of his stats to a lower third or to a half-screen graphic, yet still show him speaking. But again, well done.

Positives: Sahil asked great questions and was very engaging with his guest.
Excellent audio despite being on the court! Impressive. And its a very dynamic and unique backdrop.
Improvements: No notes, this was an outstanding interview!

Positives: Great job with the questions! Loved having this interview on the court.
Improvements: Was missing the natural audio in your b-roll. Any chance of adding another camera so you could have gotten cut-away shots of your guest?

Positives: Sahil looks so calm and comfortable during this interview! It can be intimidating interviewing a professional athlete, but you remained professional the whole time. Your questions were well thought out and you really moved the conversation along, there was never an awkward moment. You handled difficult subject matter, such as injuries, with grace and allowed Isaiah to speak freely.
Super cool background shooting this interview on the court! Great use of b-roll and no audio issues.
Improvements: I would have tightened up the 2-shot a bit and added a second camera to get a 1-shot on Isaiah to cut back and forth on. This doesn't have to be costly, you can set up a cellphone for this.
When using still photos as b-roll, don't be afraid to add just a bit of movement by editing in the Ken Burns effect.
