Music video filmed by BHS-TV students for rock band Last In Line. The band includes former members of Def Leppard, Dio, and Black Sabbath. The video was filmed during the band's rehearsal and a live performance at the Arcada Theatre.
Positives: Solid performance music video. Black and white is a great choice.
Improvements: Mix needs a bit more verb so we believe that we are hearing that space.
Positives: It's almost unfair how well done this video is. Professional production values throughout. The access that you had to the band, the car/drone shots of the town, the lighting and camera all felt like something done by pros, not high school students.
Improvements: Unfortunately, for how marvelously well-produced this video was, I found it kind of boring by the end. Not really much happens, so the whole thing stays kind of static. One minor thing that you can't be dinged on, but the synch of the performances felt off a little. I've directed music videos, and the band has to be super precise with playback or you need to be more precise in the editing. Not sure which was the problem, so won't ding you here.
Positives: great camera work. The set looked awesome. The black and white was used effectively
Improvements: There wasn't enough going on storywise to keep interest throughout the whole song. Once you were halfway in, you had pretty much seen the whole thing. That and the drummer wasn't all there. And the shots of him were mostly out of sync. When someone gives that bad of a performance, you shouldn't feature him so much.
