  • 3/27 11:33 am - Works well - Good performance from the lead talent. Good pacing in editing. Generally pretty good camera compositions and movement. Needs work - The video quality looked flat. Missed opportunity to show "tomfoolery" to add more comedy. The color bars distorting every time there was a censored beep was a bit much. There really wasn't much content/scenes/struggle that was written into the story. The ending just leaves the audience with the actor sad eating a cookie. Maybe there could be more that happens before this to make it more sad? Maybe there could be a surprise happy ending? Overall it feels underdeveloped in terms of story.
  • 2/28 12:05 pm - Typo in the first title page. Ooops. The phone said 3:44 when it was time to get up. If you shoot at a time that doesn't fit into your story, be sure not to show a closeup of the phone. Audio too low in the driving scene. The girls' audio starting at 2:57 has lots of 'noise'. You cut back and forth to the main character and his audio is fine, so it becomes very distracting. Good editing to get to the bleeps. As for the story, the main character was likable and entertaining, but the story felt like it needed a stronger ending.
  • 2/21 1:22 pm - Camera: the sequence in the car was out of focus (focus should have been on the kid driving, not the background). Also, the overall video quality looked like it was shot in log or raw and you forgot to add a LUT or color grade it. Flat image with little dynamic range or color range. Lighting: lighting seemed like you didn’t bring in any additional lighting for the scenes in the school and only used the available lighting in the locations. Insufficient lighting makes your video quality more grainy and noisy. Sound: audio mix is important; the music track that kicked in at :26 was WAY too loud. Watch your VU meter. Also, your dialogue from the main character is only on 1 channel. The scene with the friends coming in at 2:52 has a lot of noise in the audio, like it was recorded with the built-in microphone on the camera. Editing: the pace kind of dragged, and you definitely spent too much time on the titles Story: The story didn’t really go anywhere.
