4/26 11:00 am - PROS - Fun idea to present your cinematography skills in a connected story. The ability to design shot sequences that cut together is on display in your video. The choice to incorporate handheld camera, at times, was a nice creative choice to create suspense within the story and the feeling that the main character is being watched, followed. CONS - Most of the lighting is very flat. The exposure and the white balance in the daytime exterior is inconsistent, which is a negative, given that the shots are all connected through the same story and should match each other. Focus is inconsistent; the closeups of the hand and the eye are both soft focus and some of the other shots look like auto focus that is slow to adjust, causing your subject to drift in and out of focus. Watch your horizon line in your wide shots; the train station is noticeably off level.
4/25 12:35 pm - The storyline is much appreciated. That said, there is not a lot to consider here when reflecting on camera work, lighting, exposure, camera movement, depth of field, etc. The exposure and camera work does nor offer enough differentiation to show prowess in this category.
4/17 4:56 pm - Good idea to share a sequence from a story you created, but many of the shots lack contrast and details needed to compete in this category well. Next time establish specific shots and unique perspectives rather than following or making it feel like it's a spontaneous shoot
