- 4/28 1:32 am - Solid opening with a sharp location choice for your anchor. Hold mic a little lower. Brother from military returning is a great story. Need a little more energy in delivery from VO. Potawatomi story is really interesting. Audio pops in a couple of places with broll on top which leads me to believe some cuts where taking place. Maybe just smooth those out a little. Auditorium Staff hype video well produced. Be Real segment is fun. Nicely produced news magazine format. One suggestion...anchor is primarily doing one sentence story flips. Write a little more content and deliver a little more news rather than just being a talking head. Solid show.
- 4/28 12:24 am - The open here is fantastic and very clean. The lower thirds look great. The anchor is just not really doing much here as he just tosses to stories in less than 5 seconds. The first story is done well, maybe more interviews. The imagary story is nice delve into a reflection of yourself. The interviews are good although the story feels to not move forward that much, I applause addressing what could be an uncomfortable conversation. Maybe some soundbite on the story about the play? BeReal is fun also, but maybe not newsy. I'd use your anchor more and keep the show moving.
- 4/18 2:59 pm - Cool background for the host of the show. Very cool opening for the show that showcases lots of cool stuff at your school. 3D words at the end are nice! Nice story about the football brother. Audio sounded level and emotional piece. Imagery piece is great- very informative and timely. Nice job and placement of the commercial int he middle of the show- kinda breaks things up. Might like to hear the host say more- his intros are so very short and could use a little more background before sending it off to the segments. Overall, this is a well-put together show with some great segments!

Positives: -I like the idea of field anchoring, rather than in a tv studio. It’s creative -the first reporter package was nicely done! Great emotion and it was put together nicely
Improvements: -if the anchor is field anchoring, try using a lavalier microphone because it looks cleaner. I would add a sentence or two more before the anchor tosses to the reporter. -the second reporter news package was pretty short. I would consider rolling a soundbite after the anchor, if there’s not enough information for a full reporter story
Judge 2
Positives: The opening news package was very engaging and the second package was very important. Great amount of valuable b-roll in the news packages.
Improvements: While the news packages were valuable, the program would have benefited from a variety of news delivery styles such as the anchor delivering news headlines or sports, weather and entertainment reports. Also, more production elements such as segues with music and graphics would’ve created a more cohesive package. There was no context to the “Be Real. Warriors Edition.” Without this context I was unsure of the newsworthiness of this segment.

Positives: - Great job in framing your interviews to utilize the space around you, especially on the Native American imagery story. This really adds to your story. - Overall, the storytelling is good. Great usage of video, good selection of soundbites. Well done!
Improvements: - Instead of putting music underneath all of your stories, let the natural sound of the story shine. You can use little bits of it to break up your reporter track. - I think the stories could have benefitted from more shot variety. Always shoot wide, medium and tight shots, and then sequence them together to highlight what you're talking about.
