A seemingly loving couple is destroyed by the wife's discovery of her husband's affair. Instead of confronting him, she takes matters into her own hands.
Positives: The storytelling is clear.
Improvements: Mise en scene is sloppy. A little more effort would help. For example, why are they eating plain spaghetti? The casting is not believable.
Positives: The story was super clear and laugh out loud funny. The editing was really well done as well. I even caught a jump cut--not sure it was on purpose, but it felt French New Wavy, like the song.
Improvements: I thought the lighting and camera ould be improved. All available light, wasn't clear that any lighting instruments were used. The compositions and angles could have been a little more diverse. I dinged you under sound because the piece felt more like a non-dialogue short film than a music video (which in my opinion, should have a little music performance of some kind, if even just a bit of lip-synching).
Positives: well... it's twisted. Which I like. The cake eating shot alone was worth the price of admission. Great storytelling without dialogue. The cast had to be strong for that to work and it does. the first act was a bit rushed but the structure was certainly there for a three act story. Well done.
Improvements: It was a little predictable. The male lead could have sold his lie a bit more. I also would have liked for her to have done something more interesting with the body after she packs him up. I kept waiting for it not to be 'just murder' but then... ya know... it was pretty much just murder. Which is a great setup for something that just wasn't there.
