  • 4/27 8:56 am - Framing of host on the left is a little off when you go to the isolated camera around :36, make sure camera moves to the left so host fills up the other side of the frame. When it goes to the wide shot, host is not looking at the 2 shot instead looking at his isolated camera. Framing between the two hosts on the isolated shots is too different. Odd transition from when host brings up TJ Watt injury to other host shifting to the Bears win.
  • 4/16 1:23 pm - Overall, a clean show. The director did a nice job with switching and the audio levels were good. Good use of the side graphics to indicate what story topic is being discussed and what’s coming up. Good additions of b-roll to the talk show. With the video clips, I would suggest having a little bit of natural audio underneath while they are playing, as it is a little weird seeing the clips but not hearing even the slightest bit of nat audio from them. Nice job.

Positives: Great use of b-roll and game footage to illustrate talking points. Very natural delivery and fun banter between anchors.

Improvements: Transition into MLB discussion was a little confusing, preface commentary with some context.

Judge 2

Positives: Show was clean - good camera choice, clean audio.

Improvements: When showing b-roll, always allow the viewer to hear the natural audio that goes with that b-roll. Work on the lighting - use some battery powered LED lights to help it not look so plain on camera.

Positives: You have good chemistry as co-hosts and it comes across to the viewer that you are real friends having a real conversation about a topic you both care about. The subjects timing out on the side of the screen is a nice touch, you see that a lot on fast-paced recaps like this format. This is very social media-friendly. You cover a whole lot in a short amount of time. Nice!

Improvements: The shift from subject to subject was a little unnatural. I liked the transition from NFL to WNBA with the "let me cheer you up with this". Try to find more seamless, conversational transitions like that one! The lighting has room to improve. You don't have to have a big budget to play up lighting -- utilize natural light from windows, prop up your cellphone flashlights, etc.
