  • 4/27 7:51 am - Well put together package. Good b-roll and audio. Good placement of interviewees. You showed us what was happening. Would have been nicer to get more closeup shots. I don’t quite understand your closing, “For ____ I’m _____. Who is the other person? We never hear or see them? Is it just a camera operator?
  • 3/6 10:15 pm - GREAT balance of clips with audio & voiceover; very well-organized story!
  • 3/5 9:24 am - Good nats, well shot. Very visual story, a few jump cuts to be aware of. Good interviews. The writing matched the video. Could have had more nats throughout the piece.

Positives: - EXCELLENT use of natural sound at the start of this package. It's clear that emotion is really involved in this, and you captured that tremendously. - The interview shots look great, and I really enjoy the soundbites you picked. Well done.

Improvements: - Nitpicking... I think the story just needed some more shot variety. Close-ups of weights, of people cheering each other on, of the person lifting... it just helps the story flow.

Positives: I love the opening with the nats and excitement. I like how you showcased both men and women, showing how this is a sport for everyone. I like how you covered longer sots with video

Improvements: The quality of your interviews was not the same. Some looked good, some looked bad. Why didn't you tighten up your shot on Mr. Georgacakis? If there is nothing to show in the background then why are you showing it? Don't be afraid to try something different. It's okay to bring up the nats when something is happening the video. At 1:11, the team is clearly cheering, but you really can't hear it. Be mindful that some places have bad lighting. If you can bring your own light, that helps a lot.

Positives: Great use of natural sound to drive the story Story was well written, moved at a steady pace.

Improvements: Would've liked to see a more diverse range of camera shots to avoid jump cuts Lighting needed during interview with Mr. Georgacakis
