Judge 1

Positives: - Overall, well done! I really like how you matched up the photos of her family members and then her experience as a child with your reporting. It was super easy for me to follow and understand. - Great job getting the different perspectives too. The band director helps underscore why the viewer should care.

Improvements: - This story needs natural sound. She's twirling while the band is playing, so let's hear some more of the band while that's going on! It helps the viewer understand and keeps their attention. - Some of your soundbites repeat the last line of your reporter track. Next time, trim the beginning of the soundbites or pick a different bite that flows out of your track.

Positives: Good use of now and then video/photos throughout the pkg. I like how you used some pictures/video to cover the longers sots. Good use of nats throughout the story Great feature pkg

Improvements: Sometimes its nice to have your subject explain what they do. At the start of the pkg, she could have done a quick sot saying what twirlers do. Not much else to work on. I don't think this is too long, but you could practice and try trimming piece to 1:30. Most producers won't let you go much longer than that.
