A stop motion video set to the music "Victory" by Trampled by Turtles.
Positives: Stop motion is a ton of work. I admire the attempt. There are many great stop-motion moments in this film like the fish.
Improvements: The story could be clearer.
Positives: I have a colleague at DePaul (Meg Artes) who specializes in this technique of live-action animation, so I know how unbelievably time-consuming and difficult it is. My response after the video was "Wow." Kudos to you for pulling this off so well. At first it felt like it should have been in the animation category, but the musical and almost performance element is there, especially by the end.
Improvements: This is so well done, that my complaint is a very minor one, and almost a testament to how well it is done. When you have those extreme closeup shots, you have to use a different kind of a camera or lens, otherwise the focus gets soft.
Positives: That was SO much fun to watch. You have a ton of interesting visuals but there was also an emotional element to it that showed a lot of maturity. There was always something interesting going on. Perfect song choice for something so random and fun.
Improvements: Could have used a few more location changes. Some of the shots that really stood out were the ones that changed the vibe completely on a quick cut. But Im fishing for complaints... this was awesome start to finish.
