A new way to celebrate athletes going on to play at the next level.
Positives: - Overall, well done! This is a neat concept and I think you did a good job of capturing it. - Great job getting a bunch of interviews and incorporating their name/school in the shots. I thought that was really creative.
Improvements: - We don't need music underneath, because it distracts from what's happening. Next time, include some of the ceremony. Maybe the administrator announcing one of them, some applause from the crowd, etc. Make us feel like we're there with you! - The b-roll didn't flow as well as it could have. Try for more steady shots in wide, medium and close-up angles. The sequence would make a big difference.
Positives: I love your active stand up at the beginning. The pointing when you said "here" was a great move. I like how you talked to multiple students and shared their excitement of the ceremony. Great story. I like how you showed us what the new ceremony format is based upon.
Improvements: You don't have to dip to black between your stand up and the signing ceremony. It was a different angle and time, so it would not have looked like a jump cut. If you have back to back interviews, move someone. It looks like a jump cut when they're in the exact same place/same background. Make sure to use a tripod. A lot of your broll from the ceremony was skakey. It would be great to get a nat pop of the ceremony and let the background music dip down. The background of the Mr. Lyke interview was confusing. We're talking sports, but he seems to be in an art gallery or classroom or hallway.
Positives: Framing of interview subjects was great! well done The writing was creative and it was a plus when it matched the video.
Improvements: shots are a little shaky... try to use a tripod to keep shots steady. The lavaliere mic cord should be hiding when interviewing subjects
