Positives: Great camera angles including the behind the glass camera! Great job seeing the "hero" player who scores the shot right away cutting away from the main wide "game camera" and getting a reaction of player running back down the court.

Improvements: A few shots had slight framing issues (headroom, not zoomed out wide enough, horizon balance was off). Talent were very informative they just need to be careful not to step on each others sentences.

Positives: - Great job by the director of utilizing all of the angles available to you, from the backboard camera to the under basket angle for the free throw; appropriate timing on those cuts. - Good job taking advantage of a dead ball to get a replay in, although unfortunately we didn't have time to see the entire play. As a replay op, if you think it's going to be a tight squeeze, I'd start the clip a little later so that we have enough time to see the basket.

Improvements: - For the play-by-play announcer, watch the excitement level a little bit. This clip is midway through the 2nd quarter, so these are not last-second shots. If you bring your energy level up to 11 out of 10 on every shot for the entire game, it honestly will take away from the importance of the plays later that actually merit that level of excitement. - To the extent possible, I'd like to see the game camera tilt down a little bit, especially when the action is in the near-left corner. It's important to see the 3-pt/out of bounds lines... although I also acknowledge that you may be limited on that view based on the camera placement and bench being on the same side.

Positives: I really enjoyed the announcers. Are these announcers in high school!? It sounds like they've been doing this for 10+ years. Confidence and comfort... wow! Basketball is the hardest sport to announce in my opinion, and these two guys are awesome! I like the sound balance. There was a great mix of announcers and crowd ambience.

Improvements: Sound - The mic peaked a few times. Maybe lower the mic gain a little if you know the announcer is going to get excited (loud). Or have the announcers show excitement with their TONE instead of raising voice volume. Directing - I'm giving 23 out of 25 points for directing. I just have one small thing that I want to suggest: Don't be afraid of close ups in sports. On camera, the more you zoom in, the more we connect with the person on camera. Every Oscar winning moment in the movies is a tight close up. No one gives their big, epic monologue in a wide shot. It's hard to utilize close ups in sports, especially in a fast paced basketball game with no "tv time outs". However, I think sprinkling in a few close ups would add so much emotion. When I say close up, I mean like chest up, almost neck up. Watch an NBA game... They will have great close ups on a guy after he slam dunks, or after he commits a hard foul, or if a guy gets benched... We want to see their face and fully connect with the emotion of the moment. I still think that 95% of your camera angles and directing are A+ material. Most of the game should still be your ultra wide shot where we see the whole game. The hoop cam was awesome too, that adds a lot of professionalism.
