4/28 12:29 am - Consider editing an intro together for your show. It doesn't have to be elaborate but it would professionalize your shows. Watch audio as the package audios jump to just the left channel only. In Premiere, click on the audio track, go to EFFECTs and search FILL RIGHT CHANNEL WITH LEFT. This will place audio in both tracks. Work on talent VOs. Bring some life to these stories. Also, record them in a space that, in the end, produces good audio quality. Packages have some nice broll. Think about where you record your show anchor. In front of windows produces backlighting. Use some natural audio in some of the packages to bring some life to packages. Lastly, edit together some type of closing.
4/27 11:50 pm - Backlighting for the anchor and a rough transition shot in the middle of the open. Polar plunge story could use nat sound and up close video. This could've been a great story if filmed a little better. The story feels like it should've had more info and interviews. AACA is an abbreviation I am not familiar with. The reported track bounces up and down. SAT story reporter needs more energy. He sounds bored and uses fades to black. There really wasn't much to this story. 3/5 10:23 am - No opening to the show? Avoid transitioning to the same shot as in the anchor. Audio to the polar plunge goes through only one channel of audio- make sure it is balanced. Audio in Big Jam does the same thing for the voice-over- voice is only on one channel. SAT audio is also like that- need to fill the other channel in the editing timeline. SAT voice is less than enthusiastic and includes a very large dead space where we heard nothing at all. PIG story- the audio does not use a mic and is very echoey and distant. PROM story audio does not use a mic. Some pictures do not fill the full screen. Anchor jump cut in his closing. Overall, you have lots of info in your show, but technically it needs some work. Lead anchor does a nice job. Audio is vitally important and you've got to find the effect to fill both channels of audio. Tranisitons, use of music, openings and closings- all these things make up a good show and need to be included in yours.
