- 4/28 12:47 am - Nice set and studio. There is a high pitch noise (ring) in your audio in the studio. Try to find the source and eliminate it. Nice opening of NAHS package but it goes on a bit long. Audio has a lot of noise throughout. You can also hear you moving the mic around while recording the VO. Lot of pans used in your broll. Vary your camera movement. Anchors do a nice job of getting us to packages. Consider creating and using some graphics (OTSs, etc) to help tell stories, especially sports. Scores maybe? What else can you tell us about the weather other than the highs and lows? If you can, have a monitor on both sides of your weather anchor. Chicago Haunt Builders package had some nice broll.
- 4/27 11:59 pm - The anchors do a nice job of projecting and telling stories. Maybe a use of some graphics could help. NAHS story seems to start with the exact same way the anchors tossed to he story. The b-roll could be more compelling if pans were not used. Ideally you interview more than just the sponsor, how about a student? The VO on the fire hydrants is a nice, but maybe grab a sound bite. The esports lead in seemed very forced and staged. Gaming story, lower 3rd up too fast. Maybe use more than one interview. I assume many students are gamers. For sports, maybe some highlights as she talks about the sport. I get the schtick because it's a halloween show, but it jumps the rails near the end.
- 4/14 10:56 am - Cool set decorations. Zoom in to anchors was shakey- try cutting to a different shot using a different camera. Good voices by the anchors- good transition to the first story. Make sure in the segments you're using a microphone for the interviews- they sound very distant and echoey. When videos play- it seems there is a pause before the video starts. Gaming story- make sure your interview is not shot as a "profile"- we need to see both eyes of the speaker. Odd that when you cut to sports, she is sitting at the same desk as the anchors. Need to see some graphics- especially during sports. We need to SEE the scores as well as hear them. Day of the dead segment was cut off in the middle of his closing. Might be nice to add some music to the show- either during the segments, or at the beginning and end. It could spruce things up a bit. Graphic nameplates don't stay on long enough during the Haunt story- one comes up for two different people. Lots of info in this show- add some tech touches to make it more professional looking and sounding.
