Positives: This is very professional. I really enjoyed this. Good mixture of closeups of the product and also shots of the awesome skater. Music was great, had a slow build up then it kicks into gear when t big moves come out. The fast cuts and new angles kept it interesting. This commercial never gets boring.

Improvements: I'm taking points off for STORY. I'm really being a stickler here because this commercial was filmed really well and I don't see anything missing from a film class point of view. However, this commercial is missing a little from the perspective of emotion and story. You have great shots of the product and great shots of this skater, but EMOTION can be the best tool when trying to sell something (or make a movie). There's not a ton of emotion here other than... "hey this young lady is awesome at skating". I'm going to give a few ideas and maybe it could add a lot of emotion and would then tell a story (and SELL the product better?). -First shot is some boys being mean to this girl, maybe it's hockey players in the lobby who are just taking up space and making her get out of the way... THEN she puts on the skates, then the awesome skating. It's the same commercial but now there's this whole new dynamic... "Don't let anyone push you around. Buy these skates and stand up for yourself. If you buy the skates, you can take charge of your own life." Then you cut in a shot of the boys watching her with their jaws dropped like "we underestimated her! she is incredible" and then they lose their balance and fall over. We laugh at the boys and the girl wins the day with her new Edea skates. -Ready for this tearjerker? You start with the same shots of putting on the skates. Then you flashback to a montage: A female 5 year old getting a present from dad. She is trying on the skates for the first time. She can barely skate and she slips and falls and dad catches her. Then you cut to the present day, the original female now has her skates tied on and she goes out and does all these amazing spins and jumps. Then you cut to the dad (older now) watching from the sides, incredibly proud. Maybe the daughter looks over to him and waves. Now you aren't just selling skates, you are selling emotion and feelings. "Dads, buy these skates for your daughter and she will love you forever. And you'll be a very proud dad" There's no right answer here, and I really did enjoy your commercial. I would give you an A for your commercial. I'm just trying to make you think like the expert commercial producers and marketing teams that make all of the commercials we see on tv.

Positives: I love it! you made me want to pick up my skates and go play. The shots were stunning, they moved well and captured the movement well. The lighting was dreamy and made you feel like you were watching an exciting performance.

Improvements: I would have liked a little more story. The skaters moves bordered on the ability of an ice skater. If she truly is an ice skater why is she at a roller rink. If she is a roller skater maybe some more color to her costume would have helped. I would have liked ambient sound, we could hear the laces tighten, and the wheels roll across the wood. This also may have helped define this as roller skating and not figure skating.

Positives: Beautiful spot! Loved loved the talented Jam Skater (just looked that up) which really conveys what the skates are capable of. - The opening shot (though a bit out of focus) does a really good job of building to the dancing routine. And extra points for filming while on skates! Really solid camera work overall. - Editing wise: really really nice movement timed to the song - especially the beat drop paired with the slow motion jump spin. Well done!

Improvements: - Thinking in terms of the viewer who may not be familiar with the skate world and the brands that are part of it - I would suggest injecting branding toward the opening of the spot. - I would love to have seen specific callouts to what sets this brand apart from it's competitors. For instance: I think there's room during the routine to inject a closeup on the bearings, or brakes - something like that.
