  • 4/27 8:51 am - Very well done. Engaging conversation with appropriate B-Roll laid in throughout. Host is well prepared and infuses his personality into the piece. Well done!
  • 4/26 1:43 pm - This was a very professional looking interview and talk show. Great footage from the interview footage and the b-roll. You dId a wonderful job cutting in the b-roll, though I wonder if it was done in real-time or if the b-roll was added in post. The b-roll definitely worked to show more than tell. Nice job cutting between the speaker and the interview though I would work on getting more reaction shots from the interviewer. Overall, really nice work.
  • 4/16 1:21 pm - First line - host needs to slow down. The guest in this show was very personable and helped to make the show entertaining. Good series of questions asked by the host. Nice job incorporating b-roll into this talk show where it was appropriate. Technically speaking, there was nothing in this talk show that stood out to me - meaning the camera selections were on the mark, the framing was good, the audio was good, and the editing was clean.

Positives: Excellent questions and Quintin has a real ease & charm as an interviewer. B-roll footage of the candy was gorgeous and helped the viewer connect to the 'review' portion of the show.

Improvements: Interview footage could've been color corrected, contrast was harsh and the whites seemed too bright.

Positives: The host has great energy for this show! Great job with all of the b-roll used in this segment.

Improvements: The host could have slowed down just a tad - keep the energy up, but slow down. Remember to be sure it's a conversation between 2 folks and not just an interview - respond to what the guest is saying and ask follow-up questions from responses.

Positives: This was entertaining! I enjoyed the b-roll and background music. The Ken Burns effect really gives the still photos a sense of movement. The switch to the Wonka score during that question was funny, you lucked out with a great interviewee who played along! The design of the lower thirds is creative - great job with that! The taste test portion was great, Adam should be a professional food reviewer- his description was awesome!

Improvements: I feel like the interview portion could have been filmed in the colorful candy shop rather than in front of a wall. Use your surroundings to your advantage. Always remember to introduce the interview subject, who are we talking to? I know you had a lower third for Tess, but it's worth having an intro on camera as well. There was room for some cross-talk here. Feel free to add to the conversation and bounce off what the interview subject says rather than sticking to a script.
